Day 111 Reporting – 2,024 Words/Day Process Log – Sick Day

Note: Funny enough, I wrote this a couple of weeks ago. The allergies were so bad I couldn’t ignore them unlike this situation. Good thing that I learned from this experience, though. I didn’t push through because, honestly, I couldn’t. I had no energy to even read a single email.

Yesterday was my first legit sick day of the year. I woke up to my head pounding fifteen minutes after slamming my alarm clock to silence. You think that would have been a clue. That maybe I would have called in sick to work. But no. That sounds too much like good sense. I logged on and actually was somewhat productive. I mean, I moved the needle, but honestly I should have just called in sick.

Popping an Extra Strength Tylenol with my chicken lo mein for lunch dulled part of the pain, but not much. I waited for normal to show up and it never did. The only thing I was able to do was post on this blog. That was the extent of my writing work.

So, yesterday was a no-words day, but you know what? At least I earned it.

Keep moving forward. Keep getting better.
