Day 149 – 2,024 Words/Day Process Log – Little Things

Little things matter.

Yesterday, I only had about 30 minutes to work in the garden before night overtook me. I almost didn’t go out. But I figured that since I had been away for a couple of days, I could do some basic maintenance.

  • I covered the potato plants with additional compost.
  • I made a homemade spray that’s supposed to help with pests and used it on one tomato plant that I’ve made my sacrifice plant.
  • I filled the reservoirs of the container gardens with water.
  • I deadheaded a rose plant. I didn’t get to all of the plant, but figured it was a good start.
  • I moved my seedlings because something was eating it at the current location.
  • I checked my cucumber plants which look like they are starting to flower which will put them right on track to produce in mid-June.

These were small things that didn’t take a lot of time that I would be tempted not to do because they weren’t a lot. But listing them out like I did above makes it clear how much I can accomplish in 30 minutes. I wonder what I can accomplish in 30 days.

Keep moving forward. Keep getting better.
